Nutrition for kids
Meet the founder
Amy Tyler, ND
Hi! I’m Amy Tyler, naturopathic doctor and founder of Blazing Brains. I help parents who are struggling with their child’s mood, focus, & energy use nutrition & lifestyle tools to optimize brain health, leading to more ease in family life and a focused, regulated child who is free to reach their full potential.
Rather than focusing only on typical or average eaters, Blazing Brains was designed to include neurodiverse kids who often struggle with picky eating and other challenges around food.
What clients are saying...
Amy came and spoke with our Austin ISD Food Service Managers during a team building day and her presentation really resonated with the staff. Amy provided practical, tangible advice and guidance to our employees that was relatable and relevant to their day to day lives. Together we explored the importance of proper hydration, sugar awareness and how to decipher labels and how allergies play into one's general well-being. Amy offered adequate time for questions and answered thoughtfully and thoroughly. Our post meeting feedback on this presentation was excellent.

I found Dr. Tyler while looking for natural alternatives in my state to help my daughter, who had suffered from constipation since she was born. Her GI specialist never worried about finding out what was causing it and was only giving Miralax, but she had some real bad side effects while on it. After having a free consultation with Dr. Tyler, I decided this is what we needed and set up an appointment. I live about 4 hours from her office so the video calls were very convenient. She provided us with her full attention for over an hour. She was very well informed and had studied my daughter's case very well from the paperwork we filled out before the initial appointment. Dr. Tyler recommended dietary changes and supplements for my daughter and I am more than thankful that this actually worked for us. Not everyone will have things work out in the first try, but after seeing my daughter struggle with constipation for so long, I am glad that our initial plan worked for her. Dr. Tyler is very knowledgeable and patient and she even helped me find a new pediatrician that fit my daughter's needs. I will be forever thankful to her, as my daughter now has two great doctors (one being Dr. Tyler) looking out for her health. I have recommended her to several friends who are looking for more natural approaches on how to handle their health.

Amy Tyler is an amazing natural doctor. She is compassionate, smart, empathetic and willing to give each client the attention they deserve. She is kind and knowledgeable about the human body. She has helped my parents, children and myself to improve our digestive health, energy levels and overall well-being. She helped my son to stop having headaches and continues to support our family to be as healthy as we can be. I highly recommend Amy for any health concern or to work preventatively with you or your family.

I met Amy about 12 years ago when I decided to explore a more natural route to feeling better then the "just take these meds" approach my gp suggested. Amy immediately made me feel welcome, heard and supported. She taught me so much about how to support my immune system, how to learn and notice my intuitive needs around sleep and stress management, and ultimately, I became well again. 6 years later, when my young son began having recurring fevers, Amy is who discovered the path to healing once more. Instead of the typical surgical and/or steroids, Amy suggested food sensitivity testing. With this, we discovered which foods to take out of my son's diet and he's been healthy ever since. His infectious disease doctor calls his improvements "remarkable!" Amy cares for you and teaches you how to care for yourself. She has forever impacted our lives with love and health.

What I love so much about Amy is her kind and caring demeanor. You can tell from your first conversation that she is very well trained- like a doctor, scientist and nutritionist all rolled into one. But the magic is the relationship because she really wants to help your child, and she has an impressive array of tools to get you there!
Although Amy has seen all the members of my family for various conditions-and always given wise advice- my most memorable interaction with her was our collaboration.
As a health and wellness coach masquearding as a food superhero (the Good Food Fighter), I invited Amy to make a presentation to my son's school. She created a slideshow about the connection between food and a child's ability to focus and be productive. It was a smash hit. We provided healthy snacks for parents and gave them all kind of tips. Amy is so personable and accessible that everyone wanted to talk to her.
